1.5 hours a week - term time only

This is a fixed term contract

Grade 3 SCP 4 (£24,404 per annum, pro rata - £12.65 per hour)

The Governors of Gorse Covert Primary School wish to appoint a committed, highly motivated, dedicated and caring person to join our team of lunch time Play Workers, supervising children from Reception to Year 6 during lunchtime.

Responsible to: Gill Poole

Duties will include:

  • Collaborate with the play team to cover all daily lunchtime duties, including outdoor play sessions and dining hall supervision.
  • Work closely with the Play Coordinator to ensure all children have access to engaging, age-appropriate play opportunities each lunchtime.
  • Facilitate play activities and promote the importance of play, acting as an advocate for positive play experiences.
  • Partner with the Play Coordinator and team members to maintain a safe and supportive play environment for all children.

On occasions you will be required to attend Midday Assistant meetings and training.

There is an expectation to adhere to all school policies especially those relating to behaviour, safeguarding, Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities and confidentiality. We are a fully inclusive school and therefore, the successful candidate will be able to competently rise to any challenges which may be encountered with the support of a Midday Supervisor. The successful candidate will also be given the opportunity to work within a great team of people and receive high quality training.
