Special Education Needs and Disability (SEND)
Currently about 10% of the children at Gorse Covert have special educational needs. These needs are varied ranging from cognition and learning difficulties to children on the Autistic spectrum. Gorse Covert offers an inclusive curriculum and supports children of all needs to ensure they have a broad and balanced curriculum. Our SENDCo is Mrs Gibson and can be contacted via the school on 01925 825070.
For further information on what the school is able to offer your child, please read our SEND information report.
The SEND policy is available in our policy section
All children are treated equally, regardless of any special educational needs, as set out in our Equality Policy.
Gorse Covert Primary is an inclusive school and is proud to have been awarded the ‘Committed to Inclusion’ award.
